I know the majority of bowmen got DS instead of AB (as did I), but I was thinking about the damage calculations, and wouldn't AB be stronger ?
DS gives you 130% X 2, which is 260%, just like AB. So if you were to do 200 damage, with DS it would be 2x 100's (2 arrows),and with AB it would be 1 single 200. If you apply 1 critical (maxed), then AB becomes 400, but DS only becomes 300 (100 X 2 + 100 = 300). At best, if both shots for DS fired, it would match AB (DS -> 2 X 100 + 2 X 100 = 2 X 200 -> AB).
Could it be that 130% of your damage twice is better than taking 260% once ?
I know DS has a better chance of doing critical because of the two shots, but isn't each arrows damage half ofAB meaning it's still weaker (as shown above) ?
On a side note, I'm not really sure about how erruption works versus arrow rain. Is the difference (other than animation) that arrow rain will hit things below you, while erruption hits things above ? Does this mean I will hit things below my platform with erruption ?
Also, from what I've seen, erruption hits things behind you (opposite of the way you're facing), but arrow rain only hits things in front of you ?
