Hey could anyone give some feedback on a homepage?

i was told that my old style was to confusing so i went over in a wery direct site instead that should be easy to navigate on

and if you also could give some feedback on my forum layout would it be super ( i had used alot of time to create the forum layout)

All you need to know about Final Attack v2

Hello, my name is MoldyOnions and this is my guide on the Archer's Final Attack skill.

Any damage % with * next to it means I've included the average damage increase provided by Critical Shot.

The Basics of Final Attack

Final Attack, upon activation, quickly fires a single arrow after you make an attack. It's passive (you cannot turn it on or off). Final Attack is affected by critical, as well. In addition, it works with any 1st or 2nd job attacking skill (minus PKB). 3rd job skills or higher will NOT activate Final Attack. Lastly, FA does not consume MP.

Admittedly, I am biased against Final Attack, although you will see why in the rest of the post. :p

The Pros of Final Attack

I like to stay positive, so we'll put the pros of FA first.

Final Attack has;

- No MP cost, therefore over time you save money on MP potions.
- A good chance of KBing a monster due to its high damage.
- No minimum range, therefore if a monster moves or spawns in front of you as FA is activating, you will still shoot an arrow.

Final Attack can;

- Inflict a high amount of damage for 1 arrow, which will save you some arrows in the long run.
- Potentially kill the next monster in front.
- Act as a "finisher" on a monster, saving you from having to attack again.

The biggest pros here would be the last 2 points, as they can effectively speed up training.

Also, Final Attack is much more effective when used in areas slightly above your level, as it results in less FA shots at nothing.

The Cons of Final Attack

- Unreliable. You can never tell when it's going to fire.
- After you kill a monster with AB/DS, it can, and often will shoot when there is absolutely nothing in front of you.
- It can also end up hitting a monster you did not intend to hit, therefore bringing on unwanted magic attacks from monsters who use them.
- You are unable to move while FA fires, therefore potentially leaving you vulnerable.
- The amount you save on potions and arrows is negligible, at best.
- It uses 30 skill points you could have used on other skills, like Focus, Soul Arrow, PKB, and Booster (you will be making sacrifices, coming from at least 2 of these 4 skills, to max FA).
- It's useless until it's maxed or close to maxed; FA, at low levels, deals less damage and is even more unpredictable. Also, this means saving SP for 8 to 10 levels, which is a real drag.
- It completely shatters your 2nd job mobbing skills (both of which you will use long past 2nd job).

Mobbing & Final Attack

That last con may have left you wondering, "How does it ruin 2nd job mobbing skills?". Worry not, for this section will explain all. :3

Arguments for Final Attack & mobbing in the past generally involved 2 problems with the mob skills that no longer exist anymore - Arrow Bomb's low impact damage and IA's damage reduction on consecutive targets.

Arrow Bomb

Previously, Arrow Bomb had a very low impact damage - about 40%, while the skill itself inflicts 130% (260% with critical, as Arrow Bomb treats critical differently). That impact damage is now consistent with the rest of the targets hit by Arrow Bomb, so the argument of Final Attack negating the low impact damage is null and void.

Average Arrow Bomb % damage is (182%*) times X, X being the number of monsters targeted. FA's average damage is 290%.* As you can see, FA reduces your damage over time on groups of monsters. Also, FA doesn't stun like Arrow Bomb does. :3

Also, because of the way criticals affect Arrow Bomb (doubles the damage instead of adding 100%) it makes Arrow Bomb the highest damaging mob skill for Bowmasters and Rangers (especially with SE). Would you really want to hinder that with a single 290%* arrow?

Iron Arrow

Iron Arrow inflicts 180% damage, -9% for each additional monster. It goes like this;

220%, 200.2%, 182.2%, 165.8%, 150.9%, 137.3%*

It used to be -18%, and therefore, this;

220%, 180.4%, 147.9%, 121.3%, 99.5%, 81.6%*

The pro FA argument revolved around KBing the monsters that recieved the lower end of the IA damage. However, now that IA has less of a damage reduction (which makes a difference of 55.7% by the time it reaches the last monster) FA is not needed as much/at all to KB these monsters.

And, again, FA reduces your damage over time on multiple targets.

220% + 200.2% = 420.2%, which is greater than FA's 290%.

Conclusion

While it is a matter of preference, I find that FA should be avoided completely, purely because of the effects it has on your 2nd job mob skills (especially Rangers/Bowmasters). Also, the whole shooting-at-nothing thing becomes very annoying after long enough.

Maplestory DS (XD)

What if on Maplestory DS, they made that the PVP? It would be WiFi too so you can play with others. You could probably somehow get the information of your character, and use it in the game. I know, it would be like one hit shots, but maybe it could be turn based, so that you cant spam the attacks. And you raise Defense or Decrease the damage of the attack. You would pick a few skills to bring with you, and select them from a little list. You could also do certain actions to make them stronger, like slide the stylus back and forth across the screen to power up a warrior's Power strike, or repeatdly tap the enemy for a Bowman's Snipe skill. Just a suggestion.

i've been to the"hall of fame" for some worlds in maplesea and i saw that there was onli ONE lv 200 bm/sniper in bootes. similarly, there least no of lv200s in each world would be archers. why is this so? because no mobbing skills ?

My thoughts on this:

This game looks a lot better compared to the first one, in addition to making cameos of the whole series (look at super r-type and r-type final cameos from the stages). From what I'm seeing in some of the images, the stages will probably have co-op or another team to help you, and an actual personal storyline (instead of using the journal logs as the storyline). I can't wait :O

CoD4 Modern Warfare weapon balancing?

I've been playing this on someone else's Xbox 360, and I'm a little annoyed by some of the balancing of the guns.

With a heavy machine gun, I honestly hate the fact that it goes through walls, being overpowered, having good long range, and firing fast...

I mean, the fire rate doesn't match up to the P90 (my favorite gun by far), but in all seriousness, a newbie can just take the gun, look at the radar, and shoot through where a player is (best behind a wall) and get a kill. I just find it rather a nuisance when the gun I use can't do squat against the wall.

sadly i made a noob mistake.. i gave ZWSL my account info.. he was a 130 dark knight.. so i trusted him.. yea he took all my items and my 1 bill... its my fault for giving it to him so im not mad just a little disappointed... so if any of you happen to see ZWSL please call him an ass for me thanks ... oh and the reason i gave him my account was becasue he said he would PG leech me? idk what that is.. but he told me hed get me to 70 in 4 hours..... hes a cool lvl 130... he robbed me a lvl 33 spearman... ill be quitting maple now.. keep in my mind i blame myself just as much as i blame him for taking advantage of my ignorance~ thanks for all the help everyone offered me! bye bye.. off to find a new game
