I would have talked him out of it but there are problems in doing so. 1) He is never online + I don't have the guts to call him and 2) He's just a maple friend I came and knew. 3) A 19 year old giving a lecture to a 22 year old, not going to happen. And besides he is a grown man, he can do as he pleases. Although I disapprove of it.
Yes, it is true people can do as they please (grown or not, all actions have natural consequences, so rewards and punishments, and social controls aren't necessary). However... if you had one chance to possibly save someone's life, would you take it? Or just let it slip?

He is at least doing good for his country by joining the US military.But the only thing I am scared of is him dying.
