An Incident, and the Missing Alchemist

how do you get accross the pitch black room? I can only get like halfway accross by first climbing a rope half way up the room near the door, then climbing another one, then falling onto two platforms.

WOW, that is SO FAIL.
Check your "World Map" function. It'll show you where Area A-3 is.
ANYWAY, I did this quest =]

Here's a really bad picture of where the ladders (approx.) are.



Where...
H = Ladder... It looks like it T_T
(D) is door
(J) is where you have to jump to reach a ladder/platform
(*) is the NPC.
_ is a floor/platform.
Note you have to get near the (*) to talk to it ('It's too far away' fail)

Also note that this isn't 100% correct or to scale for that matter.

Yes I quoted myself. I did the quest like 2 weeks before the post though, so don't trust my memory.

I'd trust your memory because I finished the quest only a little before you posted the map and it was spot on with what I did. :D
