    Hmm... your RAM is a little on the low side, but that should be enough for MS, as long as all the other programs are closed.

    The only possible issues I can think of are:
    1) Norton is blocking some part of MS, either GameGuard or the actual .exe. Check that both are allowed through.
    2) Your internet bandwidth is too small, probably because some other program is consuming a lot of it.
    Try going to speedtest.net and posting a pic of your results.

    ok when i went to speedtest.net it told me that my connection was great and that I was faster than 72% of connections

    Your connection is fine, apparently. I don't really think that port forwarding is the issue here, as I have never needed to configure my router for any games - you usually shouldn't need to.

    But, you can experiment with your router settings if you like. Open up a browser, and type your router's IP address into the address box You can find your router's address by going to Command Prompt, typing
    Code:
    ipconfig /all
    and then it's the "Default Gateway."

    how do i acess my router settings?

    Start > run > "cmd" in the little box > Ok button.

    See your router manual.

    Of course if you don't know this sort of thing... you might want to get someone who does.

    ok i found it and found the Default Gateway router address
    i typed it in a browser but it said that the file was not found
