No, those are only shown on the character select screen. Inner ability is probably something to do with Aswan, which is coming out with Phantoms on July 9th. (I think)

they're just 3 extra lines of potential. they get their own "cubes".

you unlock them by doing lots of aswan though. also, aswan is its own patch; phantom is the next one, azwan is the last of the 3 patch series.
