I can't believen the series is ending (or has ended). After Future Arc, I thought it was going to end there, and then we got Simoun family arc, which I thought was going to end there, and THEN we get Acrobaleno arc, which answered several questions and finally ended.
It's too bad there wasn't really any romance, but then again it is an action shonen series.
Group shots everywhere, so it was a pretty satisfying ending. I don't think we got to see Bianchi, Shamal, Lal Mirch or Dino at the end though. Was really hoping to see a comeback on future version of everybody. But I suppose this is fine as well.
All in all, the battle system was pretty unique. Rings+boxes and flames as pretty much elemental attributes. Simoun family felt kind of flat though. They could have used a bit more screentime. Daemon Spade was kind of weird since he got way more screen time than all the previous oldies.
Would I read this again? Maybe certain arc, maybe speed reading it. But it's been a pretty satisfying read and wait for the last couple years since I started this series.
