    Default Necropost Message.

I found this on SleepyWood and thought it would solve a lot of problems here.

So basically if a thread is two weeks old and you want to post something on it. Right when you click "Submit post" a warning message comes up stating that what you are doing is might be considered as necro post and you could ignore if you'd like.

This is good because most necroposters don't know that what they're doing is wrong.

Does it add that posting in a dead thread is maybe possibly half-way okay when adding new content or information not previously posted... you know, so people know what would justify it... sort of. In addition, with HS we have a few boards that move a little slow, like in Hunting Grounds... and such. Wonder if it could only be added in more popular sections as opposed to the slow moving ones [or tweaked to accomodate]? Though I guess it wouldn't matter since it's not exactly preventing them from posting their own demise, just cautioning. ... I'm rambling again. End.

Maybe, since we're less active, we could set the limit to 20 days or a month.

I think this would be a good idea, provided the message states that it's okay if it's adding new information to the thread... Although some necroposters have a falsely high opinion of their post's importance.

EDIT: Some members of the forum might be disappointed that they would no longer have to play TEH NECROPOST POLICE so often. I know insulting newbies is so much fun.

Sounds like a good idea to me. However, in some topics, it is alright to necropost. This warning should serve as a nice deterrent.

Well, in my opinion, I think some of the Hunting Grounds could benefit from necroposting.
For example, in the Thieves' "Where do I train" thread, some training spots for NLs might be updated to Chief Oblivion Guardians in Temple of Time.
I just think since Nexon has updated GMS so often this year (mostly this summer), some changes in some threads wouldn't hurt.
Also, for lvls 130+ in that thread, the training choices seem rather dull. But no matter, I'd risk being tagged by the necropolice if it helps someone who's afraid to ask on that thread. xP
(Not saying it will happen now, maybe later though)

Despite the fact that the necro police report necroposts impartially, no matter what their context. I personally don't do anything about it if it's a valid/non-spam post. This message would just be a warning, so that if you didnt notice the thread is 3 years old, you have one last chance.

    I think it's a good idea :)

Yeah, how do I show my superiority of not being superior when all the necroposts disappear?

I like the idea of a warning.... Apparently I necroposted last night and I didn't even know what that meant... A warning would have been nice ;)
