Well, technically I'm on the better side of special needs. In Alberta, you're given a coding if you're special needs (ESL, autisim, learning disabilities, etc.) and apparently being categorized as "gifted" automatically makes you suffer from perfectionism

Yeah, well, I've been classified as "gifted" since Kindergarten and I take what I get knowing I did my best. I don't freak out if I g2t a 60 in a subject (which I never have). I know people that get tests back and say "wtf, 49/50? Dammit I need to get my books out this long weekend." Like, SERIOUSLY? Get a liiiife!

IB is only hard to the people that MAKE it hard. If you're there, it means you're gifted, so it should be the same to you as academic stream is to regular students. And the ones that fail are the ones that don't try in academic.
