One thing I do NOT understand about America is that you're supposed to be like this supernation, right? How come everything you have sucks? Reading the first post made me cringe.
We have a lot of ISP's over here - BT, Virgin Media and Sky. And for the princely sum of about £40 a month, with Sky, you can get high speed broadband, Sky tv package and a phone line. We're with BT, we pay £15 a month for our broadband and that's on a 'fair usage policy' as well - 7GB a month, but if we go over, we just pay £1 for every GB we go over. Or we can pay £24.95 a month and have unlimited usage.
Why isn't there something like this in your country? Illogical.
This is a signature. Hurrah.
There is, but the OP lives in the middle of nowhere so communication lines are limited. In more populated areas there are unlimited internet plans and there's free wireless everywhere.
HughesNet, being the only ISP available to people in the middle of nowhere, use the monopoly to its advantage and limits usage while jacking up prices.
