5 years.
That's how long I've had my laptop now.
I lost everything on it's hard drive yesterday; completely died, nothing left.
Oh there were probably warning signs(lotsa blue screens, etc.) I should have made a backup sooner or later, but I ignored them. BIG MISTAKE.
Just like that, everything gone. I don't even remember half of the things I had on it.
Friendly reminder to always backup, even if you don't think you need to.
<---it's like this, only worse.
*SIGH*
That's too bad. I hope other people take this as a warning to always back up your files.
You didn't lose anything too important did you?
Spoiler!
You are the best~~
:(
Not really I guess. Mostly just old coursework. Nothing too major.
AND A WHOLE LOTTA FREEWARE GAMES and screenshots associated with them! ;_; I have a flash drive with a very tiny amount of stuff compared to what my whole hard drive had though.
Well, I reinstalled XP so, it's sorta like new.
Oh crap, I need the language pack for the language both yours(San-Lzu) and my signature have.
Don't worry DD it's not the destination, it's the journey! The good things and the memories you had with your laptops are more than enough to outweigh it's inevitable demise!
Wow, i feel like i'm a spoiled brat for getting new computers every time my PC breaks down :<
I'm sorry to hear that. I too would be crushed if I lost all data on my hard-drive.
I back up the data every now and then, but not often enough, because it takes so long
