Default Potentialed DB vs Dexless DB

Okay I'm trying to figure out which is better for DBs. I have some dexless kataras and a kebob for the higher levels, but I'm trying to see which is better. Potentialed items have a good boost in stats and could rival Dexless DBs, but Dexless DBs have higher base LUK and have a higher boost in att...

I'm just trying to see which is better though... I have a dexless DB right now :\

Low-dex DBs are the best (so potential), but stay dexless or verylowdex as long as possible. It's easier to work with later when you have full gear. It should be a bit easier for you since your main is a Shadower and already have a good start.

If I have the visitor kataras and daggers, how long will that last me?

As long as you need them to. We used lvl 60 dagger/katara until 100 just so we could keep our base dex very low.
DBs are great at training anyway, so damage doesn't matter too much.
