Ok first WTH at your image.
And second it's BEDMAS not "BEMDAS"
Here's my explanation. The calculator is supplied with a somewhat vague expression.
The first calculator interprets it as a fraction, the second calculator interprets it sequentially.
6÷2(1+2)
First calculator
What it sees
6_____
2(1+2)
Evaluate 1+2 = 3
Evaluate 2(3) = 6
Evaluate 6/6 = 1
Second calculator
What it sees
6 x (1+2)
2
Evaluate 1+2 = 3
Evaluate 6/2 = 3
Evaluate 3 x 3 = 9
Also lol canadians and "BEMDAS". It's PEMDAS because it has better mnemonics, such as "People Expect More ****s And Sex" (thank you xkcd)
Edit: had you punched in 6÷2*(1+2), the first calculator would have no trouble getting to the correct answer.
Evaluate 1+2 = 3
Evaluate 6/2 = 3
Evaluate 3 x 3 = 9

Butts.
213 181 178 166 165 164 162 152 147 135 134 130 125 123 123 120 120 104 100 100
It's either way. Division and multiplication are on the same level. As is with addition and subtraction.
BE, DM or MD, AS or SA.
When you encounter two things on the same level side by side, you go left to right
Butts.

Stop ****ing up my mind, i'm set to go University this september so don't mess me up.. And oh wait that is a troll post
We should have a Calculus thread. Then Kag will march right in and make a post about not understanding it.

I could use a bit of help relearning volume of revolution
噢如果超人会飞
那就让我在空中停一停歇
再次俯瞰这个世界
会让我觉得好一些
哦拯救地球好累
虽然有些疲惫但我还是会
不要问我哭过了没
因为超人不能有眼泪
Volume of revolutions was the topic I understood the most, probably because I'm a CAD pro.
Basically the radius of your circle is a function of whatever the given function is
The volume would simply be pi*int_lowerbound^upperbound (f(x)^2) dx
int_lowerbound^upperbound is computer text for an integral from lowerbound to upperbound. It's what you'd type into Wolfram.
Protip: if your function is even (like x^2 or anything symmetric about the y-axis) you can do 2pi int_0^upperbound (f(x)^2) dx to make life easier.
