Unfortunately for those people who don't want to deal with that Maple downloader, Nexon finally caught on and wants to inconvenience us some more.

Unfortunately Nexon appears to have discovered that people were downloading the game client (the 3+GB file) directly from their servers (which costs them money) instead of using the downloader (which torrents the game from other people making the players pay for the bandwidth, not Nexon), so they've disabled the direct links that we knew about.

I wonder why they don't do mirror sites anymore.

Nexon decided to remove the link to download the normal way completely from their download page, but the URL's are the same.

For any future or previous version you just change the last three numbers in the link. For example if you want patch v199, you'd change the URL to:

http://download2.nexon.net/Game/MapleStory/ManualPatch/ManualPatcherv199.exe

For those with link scanners or something of that sort, the link is directly from Nexon's servers so there should not be any malware.

Ugh. Post v126 they stopped uploading clients. Gotta download v125 (which works) and patch up....

People who have Steam can just download it there. It's faster and you can pause the download anytime. Plus it will autopatch but if you want to play the game immediately it goes back online you will want to disable the autopatch feature and just run the game and it will patch normally.
