Sony Unveils the PSP Go
How many of you guys love your handheld games? I grew up as a gameboy person but found the PSP to be very amusing. Well Sony has brought out a new handheld (and no its not another PSP 1000 remake)! Sony has recently unveiled the PSP®go at E3. News about the new PSP system was leaked out before it was shown at E3, guess they got antsy. The PSP®go is no longer a rumor in the wind but has now become a reality.
For those of you who don't know, the PSP®go has taken a great leap in advances. It looks like they followed the Sony Mylo design plans. Its a step up from the very wide PSP-3000 model, still looks great nonetheless! Now for those of you who want specs, here they are:
- 3.8" screen
- 43% lighter than previous version
- 16 GB on-board flash memory
- Bluetooth support
- No UMD drive
- Memory Stick Micro support
- Download games and movies via Playstation Store
- Single analog stick
The specifications aren't that bad, although they took away the UMD player to make it ultra slim. It does has 16GB on-board flash memory though. You can also insert an extra 16GB Memory Stick if needed. The only downside I see with this is for people with a slow network connection. The "download and go" saying won't seem that great.

The Price! It's going to retail for $249.99!
A bit too much for my tastes, but I guess I'll have to take a "wait and see" approach before making any purchases.
New items are expensive
Yea, I couldn't find the talk of price anywhere, its good to know the price beforehand, I won't be buying it on the official launch date but maybe a few months after, when it starts to settle.

not very suprised...
it looks okay, but i have to say that it dosent look very game friendly anymore. what about all the old UMDs...? its kinda seems like a new bummer.
Exchange
I heard that once it comes out, GameStop will be exchanging your UMDs for the downloadable content version. I'm not totally sure on that though.

Disappointment
Well, sadly when I seen this on E3 09 I wasn't to happy about it, seeing as I was expecting a little more, and the style of it is also not to my likings. There are things I think they should of worked on more with this, and things they should of completely left out.
The whole slide feature was nice, but the looks of it isn't some what a "sexy" one, it kind of adds a bulky look to it, and I don't like that. I like the nice sleek look, but hey that's just my opinion, and I am sure they satisfied other with this, but just not me.
The $249.99 price of it doesn't seem to worth it for me either, I think they should have dropped it to almost match their already existing ones. It just seems a little high for a portable device.
