You wake from an uncomfortable night to find yourself yet again trapped in a cell, deep underground.
The walls and floor is wet and you can feel algae growing through the cracks of the bricks. Your cell
mate is still knocked out from a fight you had the previous night. It's been at least 8 days since you
were convicted of treason against the town's current "king".
*The state of the town is currently a vaccum of power as the previous king as assassinated by an
unknown character*
All persons suspected to be dangerous are thrown down here nowadays.
In mid-thought, you hear screaming of what sounds to be a young child. Looking out your cell door,
you see a gaurd coming right at you with a child who has obviously taken a beating before being dragged
down this dungeon. The gaurd threatens to beat you unless you back away from the door. Stumbling
out of his reach, your hand falls on a loose stone, easily the size of your palm. The gaurd throws
the child into the cell and procedes to beat him even more. You try to wake your cell mate in a
stealthy fashion, but he doesn't come to. Your only choice for surviving is escape, and this is your chance
Using your stone, you sneak behind the gaurd who is having way too much fun beating this child to
their death. With as much strength as you can muster, you smack the gaurd's head with the stone.
The child, hardly alive, barely even notices you as the gaurd falls. At this point, your cell mate
is finally awake and has just witnessed you knock out the gaurd. He grabs the ring of keys as well
as the "beating stick" and whispers that it's now or never. Feeling a small ounce of remorse for the
child, you grab him and throw him on your shoulders and carry him out.
The only way out of this dungeon is a straight hallway with the only other gaurd
*keep in mind the town of orgin is somewhat small, extensive dungeons aren't needed
Your cell mate idiotically runs up to him with the club held high. The other gaurd clearly sees him
and draws a small dagger from his belt. Without thinking, you raise your free hand and
it begins to glow. A weak stream of lightening shoots from your hand and paralyzes the gaurd before
he's able to do any major damage to your cell mate.
"What the hell just happened" you think to yourself.
You've never had powers of the Cssithi and never have been forced into the "Tower of Cssithi" either.
You don't have time to think about this for very long, as your cell mate as already found the correct
key and has opened to door. You are blinded by a bright morning sun and dash outside before
someone can notice that you're escaping.
Chapter 1
Spoiler!
Chapter 1; Confusion
Stumbling blindly out of the dungeon's exit, you find yourself in an area you don't recognize.
You look at your cell mate and find a look of confusion on his face as well.
Without exchanging a single word, you set the child from earlier down and start looking around
the location you've found yourself in. The only thing you can see is a towering wall behind you
and a vast field in front of you. The field itself looks void of life and unlivable.
The wall behind you is much too tall for you to scale, let alone while carrying the child.
After surveying your situation, you turn to your cell mate and ask, "Where the hell are we?"
Your cell mate doesn't say a word to you and acts like he didn't hear you. You know he heard you
and that he's ignoring you on purpose. There is obviously no help in him, so you try to bring the
child back from his unconscience state. You notice he has no eye color. Thinking to yourself what
this might mean, your cell mate finally speaks to you.
"My name is Iurv."
"Well 'Iurv', seeing as we are paired together by fate, what do you think our next move should be?"
Iurv goes silent again as he quickly turns and faces the wall.
"*grunt* Well, you're a lot of use aren't ya?" You say sarcastically to Iurv.
Iurv again acts like he didn't hear a word you said and starts walking north, following the direction
of the wall.
"Wait for me why don'tcha?" you say as you quickly throw the child of your shoulder again and start
after Iurv.
"You don't have to be stuck with me" Iurv says once he hears your footsteps crunch against the dead
grass.
"Well, it's better to be traveling with someone when you have no idea what the hell is going on"
After what seems like hours of walking in a single direction, you stumble on what looks like a
rock direction marker. While falling to the ground, you drop the child. The child lands next to
marker and releases a groan of pain as he hits the ground. Scurrying back to him, you notice the
rock actually has religious markings on it.
"Looks like an old alter of sorts" Iurv claims.
Looking up at him, you notice a small smirk as he breathes those words.
Not more than a second afterwards, the rock begins to glow, faintly, but it's glowing.
The child's eyes are now wide open and glowing the same dim color that the rock has turned.
Backing up but still on the ground, you move from the stone closer to Iurv in fear of what is happening.
"First that magic, now this?" pops into your head...
*It was a normal morning for Rythu as he began his trip to the market. Having planned a celebration
for finding a fiance, Rythu invited a large amount of people to his house and he needs to prepare
for the gathering. Browsing the normal carts yields the same boring ingredients. Yet, out of the
corner of his eye, he sees a cart with unfamilier color patterns on it. Out of curiousity, Rythu
walks over to the strange looking cart.
"Do you need anything?" A bellowing voice echos the marketsquare.
Rythu looks up and see the owner of the market wearing a dark hood. Unable to clearly make out his
face, Rythu's unsure of how to reply
"I need ingredients for a party" Rythu stammers as he's startled by the voice itself.*
