Should I still invest points into MP Eater or should I not bother? I want to invest the rest of my SP points into Holy Attack, Poison Breath, and Cold Beam (I maxed everything else out and I just want to invest points into them for the fun factor), but I am no sure if MP Eater is still good or not. Do you guys feel any significant difference in having MP Eater and not having it?
If you want the fun factor, then 1 point is good enough. I'd choose a passive skill over a skill I would never use again (barring the "fun factor", of which 1 point in it is good enough).
With MP familiars such as Jr. Boogie and with potions being cheap as it is, it's not really anything special anymore. I don't think it was anything special to begin with.

When it was made really bad the MP draining was barely noticeable. It's worth skipping if you want to max another skill. What FailFTW also said was true. MP healing familiars are easy to come by (Especially Jr Boogie 1 familiars) so it's need has really dropped.
Eventually you'll probably max it anyway due to all those extra skill points you get now.
