You ditch the long-haired guy, who tries to sell you his "magical seeds", and find a party. You go out to Manon's Forest and wait for Manon to come out to play.
A giant, fat, red dragon pops out of a tree and says, "Are you serious, another one? As if it's not bad enough that that warrior party came and beat my ass down. Oho, look here. A mage. The last one tried to freeze me but I ate him. It still hurt like a ---"
The fat dragon keeps talking and you get bored, so you signal to your party and fry the dragon.
"Oh that's so unfair," the dragon complains, tossing you the Heroic Star. "Take it and leave me alone."
He waddles back into his nest.
You do some awesome fist pumping pose with the star and head over to Griffey's Forest.
The dull looking gryphon hovers out (hooves scraping the ground), wiping away sleep with his wings.
"Who dares... Oh whatever." He catches sight of you. "You know... Priests... They make a nice light snack."
You tell him you're a F/P, but he's busy eyeing you and licking his beak, so once again you signal your party and ambush the poor thing.
"WHA-"
Griffey collapses into a heap and coughs up a Heroic Pentagon from within its bowels (ew), and you do a less-awesome fist pumping pose with the refuse.
If you choose to buy the scroll:
You, being the highroller you are, choose instead to ride the luxury bird to Orbis and then ride the luxury train to Ludibrium. Then you get down to the 44th floor, complaining and whining all the way, until you see Vega, who nostalgically reminds you of a younger Grendal.
He points his death stick at you and demands what you want.
"I've got your 10m right here, buddy," you coolly respond, opening the briefcase of meso.
"Okay let's do this," he agrees, eying the cash. "No funny business, or I'll gut 'cha."
"Right right," you reply lazily, forcing the poor sucker to come over to you.
THEN YOU AMBUSH HIM AND STEAL THE SCROLL You trade your 10m for a lame piece of paper with nothing written on it.
"What the hell is this?" you demand, but Vega's gone, most likely to go on a vacation to Florina Beach.
