Watching "Waiting for Superman." Americans rank close to dead last in just about everything (and IS last in math). But guess what we're first in?
On a "Yes/No" checkbox of whether they have done well in mathematics, they pretty much as a nation said "Yes." We're the world's highest in arrogance.
Who here is a teacher? I will beat you.
Oh yea, and they were saying that despite interest in cellphones and technology, most of our tech jobs are outsourced because teacher's unions are getting in the way of higher teaching.

And guess that requires?
Socialist education structures!
I thought you were against that?
edit: Bulma, did you actually watch the film? It did not hint at that in any legitimate way. It's the conflict between conservative (in the true sense) politicians and the unions that screws up education. That's the major criticism of the film.
Jesus...do you research anything before you post?

... Have some faith, you are like a... billion years older than him "3
The public school system is pretty totalitarian in terms of the rules and what students can do.

Education structures are already highly socialist. Strangled by bureaucracy, tenure, and unions (unions are run by socialist types without exception). And district laws interfering with federal laws, concerning performance. And wtf, we have a lottery for schools? I did in fact watch the film, I just commented weird. Wow, great line at the end, they have Superman, and one of the villains did something to him and "someone has destroyed his ability to think."
Ummm, yea it did. Right around the time of Bill Gates, it was showing turn out for computer tech fields , and how we had to get mainly foreign workers. How well can you program, Tesi?It did not hint at that in any legitimate way.
Btw, I'm neither for or against socialism. I'm into self-determination rather than welfare, but I'm also into eco-friendly religions like Druidism, Taoism, and such. Alot of those earth types are somewhat into soft-Communism, or what they call "primitive socialism." Though strictly speaking, I'd be lumped into the bottom description, anarcho-primitivism.
