A cell phone is for safety purposes, for the crime rate WILL increase because a victim will not have a cell phone and payphones can be far.

rawr: don't hate, I'm so serious. People where you live have cell phones and iPods, we're no different.

I understand the banning of mp3s / iPods, but cell phones should be allowed.
Seems like most of the schools got announcements.

I didn't go to school today, but my friend says:

not really..... w/e I mean I can like turn my phone off during school and all but not when the phone is not on me...... my pants gets unbalanced.....left side too heavy. cell keeps my pants balanced. I carry too much stuff....my quarters weigh alot...enough of that..I just want to carry my phone

So no one out of the thousands of kids around you is going to help you if you get in trouble? You can't yell for help? You cant run to the nearest classroom? Pull a firealarm?

....o.O how will a lack of cell phones make crimes increase in school? you think people are going to be scheduling **** deals during lunch that they would've just texted about? omg, such crime. people are going to have to find each other and talk VERBALLY. ._.

and cell phones can be used to text messages about test answers/questions and send pictures of tests and answers. i honestly don't see how a lack or presense of cell phones has ANY influence on school crime and rule breaking. if anything it would go down because kiddies won't be able to text each other about when to sneak out of class so they can go smoke in the bathroom. x_x
