Okay I like:
-Fantasy
-Adventure
-Comedy
-Manga (if it is one)
-Errr, like a disaster, I have to live through this thing type? (eg: Once by Morris Gleitzman)
Well I'm doing this same survey at school and I thought it'd be interesting to compare HS's opinion with my schools. If it's not there just go for other and post what it is (only did four because there are just too many to actually write them >.>)
Personally, I like fantasy/adventure books. If the book is possible I can't focus that much on it :? I like mythology (if that counts as a genre >.>) as well :)

YOU FORGOT SCI-FI AND I AM OFFENDED
Actually, my newest favorite genre has been urban fantasy. Go check out "Storm Front" by Jim Butcher (if you're fairly mature). Amazing novels, with a wonderful setting. I've heard this genre is really beginning to blossom right now, and I need to find more like it.

Academic textbooks (I'm not kidding), religious texts, stuff related to business and finance (if that's a genre).... and if I'm in a very very patient mood, science fiction and classic literature.
science fiction I guess, but not to the point where it's overly fictitous. Fantasy sometimes gets my attention
Spoiler!
I dont really like a specific genre. Whatever kid of book interests me really. My favorite series of books would have to be a sci-fi book series(Ender)
I'm happy
If there's some sort of suspense/fantasy/sci-fi/mystery supernovel out there, that would be just awesome.

The dark tower by Stephen King. The Death Gate by Hickman and Weiss.
Immagica, and Weaveworld by Clive Barker. And everything by Terry Pratchett (it's extremely funny fantasy). Oh, and the Recluce Chronicles by L.E. Modesitt Jr.
I might have misspelled the names/titles, so if anyone is interested you might want to do a google check first.
