So I'm thinking about taking a free Driving Course at my High School next year. It's called Traffic Safety, you do not get behind the wheel, you have no clue whether or not idiots or smart people will be in your class, and it's half a semester long.


Anyone here think it's worth it? I'm starting to think otherwise.

a semester is a long time

I suggest you take a normal drivers ed class (~5 weeks during summer, which most public high schools offer), get your permit, and do it that way.

My dad taught me how to drive and I turned out just fine.

Depends on your father and if he wants to teach you himself or not.

How/why the dix is everyone growing up without learning how to drive?

Especially peterdoken! No bike, no car, and lives in 'Merica.
You've gotta get some form of self-transportation... I can't see 'Merica becoming a very public-transportation friendly place.

I never took driver's ed. I brought home the book read it and then took the test.
