Firefox 5 - 10 is basically FF4. Mozilla decided to be like chrome and make every little change a full version increment.

FF 10 feature and appearance wise is FF 4.6

There's also not much between FF3.6 and 4.

Chrome is obnoxious, don't do that. Slow down updates to decimal points (which they are), and speed up overall speed by creating acceleration programs (if they can have speed plus customization and programming power, we won't hear about chrome no mo). Slowing down updates to decimal points is for one very good reason, we want some of the old add-ons to be able to catch up (there was one on FF3 that let you color swap skins, and even had a day/night function that would dim out gradually).
