your build adds a lot more variety to your hunting options early on, but it also reduces that exp gain per hour in the 80s to 90s. In the end it levels out depending on where you level once you max ice strike, so the choices are up to you.

Why not max booster? Surely it's one of the necessaryest (not a word, humour me) skills, especially if you use a staff because they are sloooow.

When I get to mage I was planning to sacrifice some compo for booster cuz I don't see the point of having a combined element attack.

o.O...there is only one attack as far as I know that is affected by weapon attack speed. and that's explosion. Using a staff shouldn't be any slower than a wand...

It's your choice whether or not you max booster. Maxing booster does not increase speed after 11 points. it only increases duration of booster. Therefore most mage prefer spam booster and give up 19 points on booster for another skill.

For my post above, think in regards to effectively killing 6 death teddys vs one death teddy.

Compo is better than TS at everything except Ice-strong and Lightning-weak. and it's faster, and freezes.

the weapon speed of wands/staffs have no effect on your casting speed unless its with explosion...

The only difference between rank 11 booster and maxed booster is the duration and mp/hp cost. I believe that booster is 10 seconds per rank, so it's 110 seconds at rank 11 and 200 seconds at rank 20. I'd rather just take the 9 extra points and toss them into seal.

Since I will have ice strike then (if I ever make it there) I really don't need seal (unless I'm missing something).

So I plan to max booster and leave seal at 10.

Seal will allow you to use thunder spear, your most powerful attack =D
