it returns or blocks 40% of touch damage back to the monster
but no more then 10% of the monsters max hp
so yes this is a very useful skill at higher lvls

It is a good defence ability and is more effective at higher levels.

It's probably one of the best..... actually it IS the best defence skills a warrior could have.
40% off? That's pretty dam nice.
At lvl 76 im training at Lycans and Pangs, and its pretty useful with the Lycans, not so much the Pangs.

It also reduces your knockback by a lot which I think is a lot better thsn getting hit halfway across the screen >.>
I'm building my powerguard now... it's a godsend! I use it in certain situations but once I have it maxed out I'll use it a lot more.
According to everyone here, 40% is a lot of saved damage, not to mention the fact that you have nothing else to get.
For example,
if you are going sword, why get blunt weapon final attack? By a high level, you will have all your sword skills, so why spend the points on a weapon you won't use?
Basically, max it.
