There will be a game client patch for MapleSEA on 31st January 2007,from 0930HRS (+8 GMT) to 1230HRS (+8 GMT). The Game Service will bedown during this period. Please logout before this time to avoid anyloss of items.
The upcoming patch includes:
Version .38
1. Bug Fix for Shanghai mob sound effect.
2. Bug Fix for unlimited repeat quest for Centipede Boss.
3. Curse filter added to Elf and VIP store.
4. Beta Windows Vista compatibility codes added.
If this fails, please download the manual patch. If manual patch doesnot work, please re-download the new game client. Check our FAQ sectionfor more infomation.

Windows Vista compatability, eh? The nerds in Asia are going crazy over Vista, while over here in America, not so much. It's probably not #1 on Nexon's list of things to do.

Basically the Centipede drops a key item required to complete the quest. Dropping the key item (causing it to disappear) or not picking it up, then exiting resets the quest up to the point before you enter the Centipede map.
It always drops around 7000 Mesos, and at least a dozen Power Elixirs. I'm not too sure about the equip drops though. People obviously repeat the quest for the Power Elixers, as it is possible to get enough for a Zakum run if done often enough. Secondly, the bug is a breeze to kill for the higher levels.
Thus the screams of anguish are heard. Oh well, back to the old way.
