I'm quite sure the quest is repeatable as they are giving me the same dishes. So I have to wait another 12 hours (not 24 hours as I mentioned before, my mistake) to ask them to make me another dish, then the amount given wasn't enough for the quest, so you might have to try quite a number of times to complete the quest. For example, I got 4 dumpling from Cai SHen the first time, 4 Long Thread Mose Soup the second time, BUT, I need total of 10 each. So I guess I have to keep trying till I have enough numbers.....
By the way, I forget to mention that you have to see Sima Qian (can be found in almost every town) for the quest as well.
FYI, if you are not interested to do quest, you can sell those Chinese New Year goodies to any shop for 200+mesos each!!

Yes. I done it many times already. You acn do every 12hrs.
The quest actually can be repeatable every 12 hour...not 24 hour...
However to get fresh chicken is super hard....
i saw in Asiasoft forum...
you can trade red packet with mesos....
randomly get 1k-10m...
but dunno what and where is the npc...
can anyone find out...

4 kinds of CNY food item you can get from New Year Dish A and New Year Dish B
Cai Shen (Sleepywood):
Requires: 5x Moss Thread and 5x Raddish and 1x Ang Bao
Possible Rewards: 20000 exp and Long Thread Moss Soup OR Dumping.
Sima Qian (Ellinia)
Requires: 5x Fresh Chicken and 5x Fresh Fish and 1x Ang Bao
Possible Rewards: 20000 exp and Steamed Fish OR Roasted Chicken.
In addition to the above 2 quest, there are another two named Wishes for CNY.
Guan Zhong (Kerning)
Requires: 1x Soup + 1x Dumpling
Zhang Liang (Ellinia)
Requires: 1x Roasted Chicken + 1x Steamed Fish
Rewards: i haven finish... haha.. shall update when im done

Only applicable for Maple GLOBAL. We get the New Year's Dish quests thingy.

anyway... caishen and sima qian can be found in all 4 towns.
personally, i go to macis to hunt for my chickens or raddish when i have my priest gf with me... else i go florina.
fish and moss can be hunted easily at iron boar land.
