your banner height is 130px, current banner has a height of 82px, your's won't fit unless the admin stretches the whole height altogether which will have a thicker grey bar at the top of the forum from now on (unless of course there's another way)

also, your banner needs some work, there's nothing on it except character sprites in place of the cute little yeti as this forum has now, simplistic work can deliver quality, but not this time (imo)

anyways, i'd suggest getting more familiar with photoshop and try to give a wow factor rather than 'another banner' feeling

push the site down like a cinameter.

LOL, sunchip? That banner only took me
like two minutes, plus if I make it a "WOW!"
factor, it will be flashy, like to colorful.

Therefore, it wont match the site anymore.

Solution to the birds tail being too long:

CSS:

z-index: 1;
position: absolute;
left: 0px;
top: 0px;
}

this will let the image float over the content, at the top left corner, this way it does not push anything down and everyone is happy.

The banner itself is not great, but seeing as the current one doesn't have anything going for it, i think it would be an improvement.
