"No supported Mode"?

One of my friends is tyring to start MS but whenever she opens it she gets a weird error. It goes to a black screen and then a red box pops up, totally red, that says "No supported mode". What does this mean and is there any way to fix it? O_o

I am guessing it is a graphics problem, but I can't be sure unless you post a screenie of the error. In the meantime, you can tell your friend to try to update their graphics card drivers and DirectX version.

She's done that, and you can't take a screen shot, the computer like crashes and you need to restart it. It's got no close button or title or anything. It's like a DOS message box I suppose would be the best way to describe it.

Lol. I see the problem. Go to the folder MapleStory is installed in. Then, double click on the icon that has a shroom. It should be labeled "Setup".

This program sets up your monitor frequency for MapleStory.

Please run this program if your screen turns pitch black, or if you see a warning on your monitor on exceeding the range of frequency of your monitor.

When the game starts, are you able to see the game clearly?

Select no. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
