Really? Final Fantasy 8 was harder. Pretty much the only way to win without crazy spell junctions is to hold off levelling until you get serious AP going without much exp (cactuars ftw), and use the various level bonuses to superjolt your chars. That and adding Auto-Protect/Auto-Shell to all chars. Pretty much nothing can kill your chars then. Oh yea, and get maxed weapons.
