Stuck with only 5 Monsters for exp

Stuck with only 5 monsters for exp. True. But not only that but there also no quests that give 20 + exp. Which means you'll be training slower than a snail trying to kill noobs...
Dominating in damage because you're going to be level 20 or something and hitting more damage than the level 5 person walking through on their way to Vic. Island.
Low requirement for meso because you can't buy much in the way of equips and weapons, all you can do is collect mesos. It's not going to take long for small drops to add up to a decent income as an islander.

Yes, but why does that even matter? KSing noobs is no fun anyways. You aren't gonna go, "Ha I'm level 20 on Maple Island and hit more than you!!!"
Here's a basicish thing..You take FOREVER TO LEVEL from 10-whatever!!
islanders are great, i have one, and you don't have to only ahave equips that monsters drop, you can get maple stuff from events

Yesterday, I saw a level 24 Islander with a Maple Sword. I thought that was pretty cool.
