Why the hell do people even say the acronym out loud? If they think they're being all hip and stuff, they're obviously not.
The only people who I can tolerate with saying this stuff are friends who I know would say it every six months or so. Or if instead of saying "lol" they say "lawl" or "roffle."

Saying "JK" is not hip, but usually everyone in the class would understand what it means. At the moment, saying "Just kidding!" makes you sound corny.
I've only ever heard "JK" used out loud, and it's annoying .

It's usually not necessary in real life to tell someone it was a joke in the first place.
On the internet, jk is used due to us being lazy.
