Well, I dont know what happened with my computer, and Im the person in my house who is the technological smart guy (sad isn't it?).

But its okay since none of our problems were big enough to worry about, and I could easily fix it. But what the hell is going on?

Tonight I went off of the cpu and had my sister go on, and later 1 hour ago, I go on to find that the computer is jacked up.

I found out during the hour that it was because of 2 adware popups and 8 trojans...ooookaaay, so somehow, my sister managed to get this stuff on our computer?

I dont doubt it either, my sis had a labtop which had countless encounters with viruses, and now since her labtop is down, she is coming to the main computer in the house.

Now im pissed.

Well, since you're the man in charge you're just going to have to step up and sanitize that box. If it were me, I'd also whine to my parents about it.

One thing though - it's not a "CPU." It's a computer, machine, desktop, pasokon, box, puter, comp, etc. The cpu is the central processing unit, or the little processing chip inside. It is not a catch-all for the entire machine. Why do you kids call it that? That's a serious question - it seems that people in their early teens always call it "cpu." Where do you get that? :confused:

It always sounds like someone who knew little about computers decided to start saying "cpu" because it was a technical term that referred to the main processor and made them think they were cool.

You should give your computer a name and call it that. Mine is Shodan, insect.

If I can find it i had a program that will hide in background and it wont be on taskbar or anything it logs what programs were loaded and things if you want to find out that i can send. Wth can give you that many trojans in a hour? when I got one trojan it messed me up so much I just reinstalled XP. o_O
