Why did I make this guide? (whymakeguide)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Well, the main reason I made this guide is because I
love being a spearman and I pretty much just want to
share what I know with you and help you out with my
information.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Why to be Pure Spear (pureftw)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Well, the main reason to be pure spear is Spear Crusher.
Think about it. When you are fighting Pianus, are you
going to be using Dragon Fury on it? Of course not. You'd
do about 6k damage as opposed to about 24k damage per hit with Crusher.
Now, if you are interested in becoming a hybrid, thats fine,
just visit the guide by Hopeless on Hidden-street.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pros and Cons (procon)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pros of being a spearman:
-> Longer Ranged Attack
-> Longer Damage Range
-> Dragons are awesome
Cons of being a Spearman:
-> Slashes happen a lot and they are fairly weaker than stabs
-> Slow attacks
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Stat Point Allocation (statallo)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Okay, here is how the stat points work.
When you first start out the game, every time you level, put all
5 points into Strength. Continue to do this until you get 35
strength. Once that happens, add points to dex until it is double
your level. Once your dex is double your level, every level up,
put in 2 dex, 3 str to keep your dex double your level.
Once you reach 100 dex (level 50), completely stop adding dex.
Put all 5 points into str and just keep doing that forever.
For Reference:
Level 20: 40 dex
Level 25: 50 dex
Level 30: 60 dex
Level 35: 70 dex
Level 40: 80 dex
Level 45: 90 dex
Level 50: 100 dex
Level 55: 100 dex
Level 200: 100 dex
Anything else should be in strength. My spearman at level 57 had
196 base strength, 100 dex, 4 int, and 5 luk. I was too lazy to get
4 luk but it's fine. Never, NEVER add to Int or Luk or you have a problem.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Maple Island (mapleisland)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
You should pretty much stay on Maple Island until level 10. I have a little
secret, however. If you can somehow manage to get an Independence Day Flag
from a mule, put it into your storage. It gives +10 str and has 30
weapon atk.Compare that to a 0 str 15 weapon atk sword. If you are in Khaini
and you would like to contact me to borrow one, we can arrange something.
Look at the bottom for my info.
Do any quests, and fight orange mushrooms because you will have power.
Once you are level 10, head on over to Victoria Island.
I'd say that 150 mesos is a pretty small price to pay to go to the
land of the true start to your journey as a spearman.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
First Job Advancement
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
When you are level 10, head to Victoria Island and go to Perion. It only costs
100 or 120 mesos since you are still a beginner. Once you are in Perion,
go to the very top and go inside the building. Talk to Dances With Balrog and
tell him you would like to make your job advancement.

PIG BEACH (Or at level 21 you can pq.)
Pig Beach is the most amazing spot to train. Go to the top right
on that little platform and usually people stay away from you.
The spawn is great and just stay up there and slash blast.
Note: Kerning City PQ is very good exp if you can get a good leader.
I usually PQ, but I also take breaks and go to Pig Beach.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Second Job Advancement (secondjob)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
So you are level 30 and ready for the second job advancement!
Nice work. Take a cab to Perion and go talk to Dances with Balrog.
You will notice that you now have to go to the job instructor.
Go to the very bottom left of Perion and go through the portal.
Go left 2 maps and go to the top. Keep going up and through portals
until you reach a map with a guy at the top. Talk to him and go in.
Kill the monsters until you have 30 marbles. Leave and go back to
DancingWith Balrog. Choose Spearman and you are now a spearman!

Why get Spear Booster to 6 so early? When Spear Booster is level
6, it lasts for 60 seconds (1 minute). That is helpful because
spears are slow and with booster, they become fast.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Third Job Advancement (thirdjob)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Yay! You have finally reached level 70. Go directly to
El Nath and talk with the Warrior Job Instructor Man. He will
pretty much tell you to go back to Dances With Balrog and talk
to him. Go back and talk to Balrog and he will tell you to go
fight his clone. Go to the Ant Tunnel Park and on the very right
side, there is a Portal of Dimensions. Double Click it and go
inside. Go right a map and go to the bottom and fight the clone.
Once that is over, get the charm he drops and bring it back
to Balrog. Then go back to the warrior guy in El Nath. Get a
Dark Crystal, and go to the Rock of Wisdom. Answer the questions
correctly the first time and go back to El Nath. Talk to the
Warrior guy yet again and you become a Dragon Knight. (I think
his name is Tylus, not sure though).

Lvl 118 - 3 Sacrafice (14)
Lvl 119 - 3 Sacrafice (17)
Lvl 120 - 3 Sacrafice (20)
Now of course, you can switch maybe sacrafice with
Dragon Fury: Spear if you really want it that bad.
I find Fury to be a bit more important because
it can mob and group monsters easily, while
sacrafice only hits 1 monster with a lot of damage.

FAQs (faqs)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
1) Why Iron Will?
Answer: 2 reasons. One is because if you want to be a pure spear,
you obviously wont get Pole Arm Mastery or Pole Arm Booster.
Therefore, Iron Will is all that is left. Also, Iron
Will is a good party skill if you don't have a priest
around, or if you are training solo but just want some
extra defense.
2) I see a mistake! How do I tell you?
Answer: Email me the mistake and I'll gladly change it.
3) Why is there 1 point in Fury in the middle of maxing Crusher?
Answer: 1 word. Gobies. Just think, you'll want to train at gobies.
Crusher can only hit 3 monsters. 6 Gobies pop out. That means that
the other 3 will just swim away. If you use lvl 1 Fury, it makes them
all follow you and you dont have that problem.

Spoiler!
well actually this one has experience behind it. i made a dk that got to lvl 126 but got hacked, and these builds worked perfect for it. I had to make a new DK which is currently leveling pretty fast with the builds.
So this guide should be better
I don't know whether to feel sorry that you didn't see my guide or to laugh at your ignorance. o_o;
Anyway, the good thing about this guide is that it's already in HS's guide format.
You should send it in!
I like your ctrl-f-able titles.
But you should mention them.
P.S.: Sacrifice is not spelled 'Sacrafice'
cap at 100 dex? Thats awfully high. i caped at 70 and i regreted it.
Don't. Cap. At. 100.
I phailed my WK because of that. Yeah, you get a sweet ACC bonus, but that's nothing to the amount of damage you miss out on.
Anyway, if a guides gonna get stickied, it's probably gonna be Neji's >_<
More developed, and more thorough.
bolt202/veil225/feint200
both of ours are good
and i capped at 100 for a reason
100 dex means you stop at level 50.
You really dont need any more dex after 50, but think about it. Right now, at level 62, i have 100 dex and 103 acc.
If you cap at 70 or whatever, even with bless, you wont get enough acc to hit everything you want. I find it to be more important to hit everything than to do a little extra damage. that little bit of damage isnt enough to be better than being able to hit everything. Think of how much more damage you do if you hit a monster every time as opposed to miss a monster a lot and hit a little more damage than someone who hits it all the time?
its not worth it.
100 dex should be perfect.
100 dex is going overboard.
If you're gonna need that much dex, at least add it gradually, maybe capping at around 80 or 90, because you honestly don't need acc until 3rd job, unless you're training at MDTs at level 50 or something...
