BTW, I'm at the tank boss and am unable to beat it. It keeps owning me. And I have maxed out weapons [everything is lv 3] I just die too fast, even when using my health-refill pot.

depends. are you on easy or hard mode? either way the spur is godly against the end boss (so I've heard). I prefer the machine gun, since the booster 2.0 is a bit difficult to control. you won't always be able to rely on the machine gun though.
So how can I kill the Tank Boss? Not sure, but I think I'm just playing easy first time around.

no, once the polar star is gone its gone for good. you'd have to restart the game to get it back.
and hard mode is unlocked by bypassing booster when you see him fall in the labrynth. there's a li'l red marker of when to jump in order to avoid him. there's more though; the main site should have some guides detailing the rest.
So anyway, this explains your avatar. I only just got the rocket launcher though.
