It's not incomplete. It's like this :
After he asks for the 300 fried chickens, go to Ludibrium and buy it on the potion shop for 209 mesos a piece. Then, take it to him and select the option "I'm ready to ace the quiz." Then, get his 5 questions right (they're easy, like... "What npc brings you to Zipangu From kerning city? Spinel.) and then you get the orange marble. I got 2 scrolls from that quest. Helmet HP and Shoes for Jump.

and you dont have to go all the way to ludi to get the chickens either, you just have to go down into the ant tunnel and find the guy in the truck that sells all the food. It's a little quicker... o.o
It just depends where you are before you goto Showa.
There's somthing even quicker for MSEA players. You just have to go to thailand and buy wadeva u need there
