Why do people insist on having diva fits when I do something NICE TO THEM without asking them first?

    That is all.

I would imagine she means something such as a drama queen, making a big deal of nothing and stirring up trouble.

Some people, strangely enough, have a huge problem with niceness in the first place. My ex-girlfriend was the type that demanded being waited on hand and foot and yet God help you should you ever fish for a compliment or expect a "thank you" from her! She blew a fuse and started shouting about me being "whiny". She thought saying things like "please" and "thank you" was being phony. If anything nice was done, there had to be an ulterior motive. Everyone was out to cheat her in some way, shape, or form. Personally, I think she's either going to a get a stroke or go into a breakdown in a few years. Suffice to say, she was just a plain old nasty mean person and nasty mean people just don't know anything about nice behavior.

I bought someone a drink, and they got pissed because I bought them the wrong kind.

    That's called QQ.

None of this "1337" stuff, it's just "ronin"

I gave a lady twenty dollars once, she didn't thank me and instead started complaining about me "cutting" in line.

Guess it depends on both folks agreeing on what is "nice". Tell someone they've got a nice smile and they could be "awww - they've picked out one aspect of me to like - sweet" or "and what's wrong with the rest of me?". Can't win 'em all :o

People will have fits about it when first confronted.

But when they think back, they will appreciate the good deed.
