Uly, I beat you to it.

This thread is for tea discussion, etc.

Coffee can be included, though that merits its own thread in my opinion.

    Some teas I enjoy:

    Darjeeling
    Lapsang Souchong
    Oolong
    Green
    White

Haha, if I say "Someone should make a thread" that means I'm not going to do it.

    Green
    Black
Earl Grey (but not LADY Grey - ugh)
    Oolong
    Darjeeling
    Peppermint sometimes
    Anything that's not fruity

Fruity teas are gross. If you like fruity teas, get out!

Edit: You should have named this the OFFICIAL Tea Thread!!!

I'm never one to drink tea, only in Chinese restaurants.

When I do drink tea (in Chinese restaurants), it's mostly Pu-erh tea. I could drink 10 - 14 cups of that, tea leaves and all.

I have no clue what the tea in Chinese restaurants is, but I drink it too. I put milk in all other tea but that's perfectly cool plain.

Ah yes, Tea. I realize yes it's good for you in some ways, and yes some teas can smell AND taste great, but I just can't find a good one that's easy on the tastebuds of a beginner.

does anyone have any recommendations on what type of tea to drink, that's easy for a newbie?

I don't think this counts but... I drink Lipton Citrus Green Tea.
    Well isn't that interesting?
What's this? You bothered to highlight my sig? You're very bored then, aren't you? Ha. Ha. Ha.

my dad supplied me with a serving of lapsang souchong and two servings of his favorite mixture of: souchong, pan-fried green tea, and temple of heaven. I'll be trying it when its done seeping.

I also enjoy the white, green, and black teas. chamomile is always nice too.

never tried earl grey before though.

Mostly lipton tea, but I do like green, white, and black teas.

I havent tried any of the ones stated in this thread, but if they are recommended then I may try to look for some the next time I go shopping.

Iced tea, Green tea, White tea, and this other tea, which I have no idea how to say in English. In Mandarin, it sounds like: Mai-Cha.

EDIT: Green tea ice cream owns you all.

None of this "1337" stuff, it's just "ronin"
