2 years ago I had a chemistry tutor who conducted a lesson on MS for a poor classmate of mine. My tutor basically KSed my classmate throughout the entire night and kept asking him to do his homework (which he hadn't completed).
And my tutor's level was twice that of my classmate.

The Internet allows you to use endless resources during tutoring session. Distance makes the student do more self-study. There are no notes from the tutor to write off when working on the problem.
