you know what else is crazy, i think i just downloaded from the web, ea, and cliked Server for Windows... and later, it actually downloaded, but i never tried. i have a feeling that it wont work =(

i have the feeling that the server for windows = server files for a dedicated box. I know this because I have every Battlefield game except, BF2, BF:BC, and the BF2 for consoles.

bf2 is like $15, its not a waste of money if u buy it and dont like it. If you really want to be cheap and test if first, go to a computer arcade, you can test for like $2-4/hour
