Unless you want a High Dex Brawler at which point give yourself the minimum STR to wear your weapons and cap your DEX at 75 or 80.
It'll help with training and PQing.

Was fairly sure one of them (brawlers) was lvl +5, not level.

No, that was recommended so you could actually hit over 80% of the time. The bare bones build is DEX = level.
