    Version 0.002 (03/23/09)
Added more builds. Started the path of the sin. Fixed mistakes and polished the text.

---------------0000. The basics of a Dexless sin---------------
Welcome to my guide! Ok, you decided to make an assasin. But not a regular one. You want to be THE assasin. The most powerful one. Well then, you're heading to the right path!

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE DEXLESS SIN.

    Pros :
    Stronger than other sins.
Faster leveling due to more damage.

    Cons :
Have to use the same old equips due to no dex to use thief equips.
Commonly, the dexless sin is known as an idiot. He thinks he's all that and that prejudiced our fame =P
Need tons, tons, tons, tons, tons, TONS of mesos. Yes. He's that expensive.
YOU. DON'T. HAVE. ANY. DEFENSE. AT. ALL. I take ~300 dmg from Toy Trojans at level 35 at MCPQ. Yes. It sucks. But it's worth it when I deal around 2k dmg with Lucky Seven.
    ---------------0001. AP---------------
The known stats for a Sin is 4 int 4 str. But, with the new stat distribution assigned by Nexon, you only have to worry about getting your 25 dex. Period. Get 25 dex and then bomb you STR up until level 10. Then, when you reset your stats, add all points into LUK.

    ---------------0002. Leveling from 1~10---------------
Hello and welcome to the easiest levels of MapleStory! This part is the easiest. Follow the quests, and you'll be done in no time. After you reach level 10, go to Kerning City and enter the bar at the far east corner. In there, jump down or climb down the stair and talk to the Dark Lord. Accept his conditions and you're officialy a Thief!
    *Hint Hint*
When you make Olaf's quest, the one about each job instructor, first choose the Path of Pirate. Then, choose the Path of Thief. Why? Because when you accept the Path of Pirate, you can accept another quest. Since it's 300 exp from only talking to the npc, it's nice exp, eh?

    ---------------0003. Leveling from 10~30---------------

    ---------------0003a. Skill summary---------------
Firstly, let's look at your skills.

Nimble Body - Max level 20
What does it do? - Adds 1 accuracy and 1 avoidability per skill level. Since you have no dex whatsoever, this skill is recommended at the early levels.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Max this. Seriously. Nice avoid and acc bonus.

Keen Eyes - Max level 8
What does it do? - Extends the range that your throwing stars can reach. Essential skill for a sin.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Max this. You'll DEFINITELY need it.

    Disorder - Max level 20
What does it do? - Lower the def of a monster by 1 per skill level. Seems efficient and it is at the early levels, but since you gotta hit the enemy by close range, it's more usable for Bandits.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Level 3, which is the necessary to unlock Dark Sight. Needed.

Dark Sight - Max level 20
What does it do? - Makes the user "hide in the shadows", in a state which he or she can't be hit by enemy MELEE ATTACKS. Magic Attacks CAN and WILL affect you, so be careful. Makes your speed lower when you use it, but the speed returns to normal per skill level.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Level 10. Fair enough speed at level 10 and good duration.

Lucky Seven - Max level 20
What does it do? - Rapidly throws two of the equipped throwing stars, with a damage that can reach 150% damage per star. VERY NICE skill.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Level 20. Max this ASAP.

Double Stab - Max level 20
What does it do? - Rapidly swings your dagger twice. Whoa, wait, dagger? Why would you be using a dagger when you're going to be an assasin?
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Not even 1 point. Wasteful.

    ---------------0003b. Skill distribution---------------

    ---------------0003c. Leveling spots---------------
Selected your build? Good for you! Time to test it now, right?

    Levels 10~18
All sorts of quests. Henesys Party Quest. Slime Tree (Slime Tree is a hidden street located 3 maps below Ellinia. In there, you'll find a handful of trees. In the southwest corner of the map, you'll find 3 trees which have a dark door shaped like entrance. Press the up arrow in it to enter, and enjoy the mob!).

    Levels 18~21 (23)
More questing. From level 20, Ariant PQ, trading wins. (Trading wins work like this. You against me for example. You let me win once. Then, I let you win. And there on.) Pig Beach.

    Levels 21 (23)~30
Quests again! =D Kerning City PQ, Ariant PQ, Ant Tunnel (located at Sleepywood) (Kerning city PQ gives low exp, but has nice drops if you get lucky. Ariant PQ is fast and gives nice exp, but only has 1 prize which needs you to win PQs to get points. 3 points per win, 1 per lose. With 200 points you get a nice-looking and good chair. But to win that you gotta pq for 11h+ and win at all times. Hard, right?)

    ---------------0003d. Equipment---------------
You're actually interested in my guide! =O

I suppose you're pretty rich to be making a dexless sin. Just know that what you basically NEED to have when you're a Sin :

    - A Brown bamboo hat or another hat that gives you LUK.

    - A Bathrobe that adds dex (Easily, you can find a +10 Bathrobe that gives 10 DEX. About 1 mill. Useful, I'd say.) and a Sauna Robe that adds LUK. (Expensive. Recommended 15 LUK+.) The dex bath /sauna is just for the early levels (20s) and should be kicked by the LUK sauna/bathrobe.

    - A claw that is scrolled (I used a +7 Garnier (17 att) until level 35. Now bought a +7 Maple Claw (27 att).) and that is strong.

    - Tobi Throwing Stars or better. Expensive, but recommended. Icicles and Kumbis are accepted as well, but are very weak compared to Ilbis and Steelies. NOTE : As Tesiqurasa mentioned, if you have 10m Mesos, don't just buy 1 set of ilbi and 1 or 2 steelies. Buy 4 or 5 steelies. Quantity > Quality, y'know. Plus, it's no good if you kill really fast but need to go back to recharge often.

    - A cape (Old Raggedy Cape). Preferrably scrolled. With LUK.

    - An ATT scrolled Glove (Work Glove or a collored one that gives DEX/LUK), preferrably with 8 or more Weapon Attack.

    ---------------0003e. Becoming an Assasin---------------
Congratulations! Can't believe you actually got here using my crappy guide. Good for you!

Head to the Dark Lord again. He'll give you a letter. Take it with you two maps east of Kerning. In there, climb up the building until you see a nice-looking NPC. Talk to him and you'll be tested. Simply kill the monsters and gather 30 Dark Marbles. After that, talk to the nice-looking NPC and get the item that proves you did it. Take it to the Dark Lord and be sure to select "I want to be an Assasin!". Congratulations, you're officially an Assasin!

    ---------------0004. Leveling from 30~70---------------

    ---------------0004a. Skill summary---------------

YAY, new skills. Now that's good.

Claw Mastery - Max level 20
What does it do? - Increases the mastery of throwing stars and accuracy, along with the maximum number of throwing stars to recharge.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - 18 or 20. (Check Claw Booster)

Critical Throw - Max level 30
What does it do? - Enables the character to perform critical attacks with throwing stars, which have more damage than regular attacks.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Max this ASAP. Seriously. Huge damage difference.

    Endure - Max level 20
What does it do? - Enables the character to recover HP and MP while standing on a rope.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - 3. Pre-requisite for Drain.

Claw Booster - Max level 20
What does it do? - Uses HP and MP to temporarily raise the attacking speed of throwing stars. Very nice.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - 18 or 20. (Check Claw Mastery)

    Haste - Max level 20
What does it do? - Makes you wanted by other players. Why? Because it raises speed and jump. Period. And it raises it a lot.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Max this.

    Drain - Max level 30
What does it do? - Attacks the enemy and drains up to 45% of the damage you do with the attack to yourself.
What's your suggestion, Mr. Luc? - Maxed. Helpful when out of potions.

    ---------------0004b. Skill distribution---------------

Technically, having any dex-only equips will make you a low-dex sin, but you did mention getting a luk sauna as being better, so yays.

The cape should not be clean. First of all, that +10 avoid is all but useless as a dexless; your avoid is already one of the highest in the game for your lvl range. Look for a 8+luk old raggedy, or a 2+ att black ragged cape. Sins' L7 damage is based heavily on w/att, so even the 2 att boost from the cape helps ALOT.

One more thing you could possibly add is an explaination of stars. You shouldnt go out and spend half your funds on one or two sets of expensive stars. This will make training all but impossible, and you will find CPQing to be difficult and frusterating. A good rule I went by:
lvl 10-30 you should have 5 sets of the same stars at MIN. Dont go out and buy one set of ilbi just to look 'pro'. Let's say you have 15mil to spend on stars as a newby dexless. You COULD spend all of it on about 2 sets of ilbi, or go for the 5 sets of steely. You need to balance quality and quantity when it comes to stars.

It's a bit more beneficial if you only add one point in Lucky Seven, get 3 in Nimble Body, max out Keen Eyes, max out Lucky Seven, Max out Nimble Body (I maxxed out Dark Sight, but that's just to increase the benefit.), and put the rest into Dark Sight (Or Nimble Body if you did what I did.)
    Hey cools I don't have a spoiler

I'd like to add that if you REALLY want that extra attack boost from 20-35, you could use a +7 Steel/Mith/Gold Titans, with a required +10 bathrobe.

That's what I did; it helped leveling, but 20-35 is so fast it doesn't really matter anyway.

Stars don't matter up until around CPQ, as your damage compensates (mostly) anyway. By CPQ you should AT LEAST have tobis, preferably steelies.

You DON'T CARE about your defense; you can scrap that for all it matters. Therefore, if you're going to get a cape, get one scrolled for WATK or LUK; weapon attack is preferred, but much more expensive (PAC, black raggedy, etc.)

Also, you don't REALLY need that many mesos to make a successful dexless. Mine started with 3M in Kradia and four icies, and here I am now... level 65, 27m, 4 ilbis, 48 atk Skanda. =] It's decent; sure, you can get godly equips (1204832957 ilbis+50atk skanda) but frankly, even with a maple claw any dexless can outdamage normal dex.

ATK glove isn't really required, but after 30 or 50 you should start considering getting at least an 8ATK. It will boost your damage quite a bit.

And of course don't scroll for DEX, unless you can get enough DEX to equip a better claw (titans... only situation, really). Your LUK gives accuracy as well, just a lower bit; however, it's enough to hit anything your level and higher up. Scroll for LUK or WATK whenever possible (watk preferred).

EDIT: I didn't max drain; I put the rest of my points after maxing Mastery into Endure. Hey, more MP for me...

This is the best and the easiest build for a sin no matter dexless, low dex or normal dex. It's the best way to generate money, level fast and still have lots of fun:D:D.

I,Personally, would suggest mastery over booster. The sacrice in mp is small and beside that mastery add's litle acc and it stabalizes your dmg to 60% which is very nice you're dexless and need that:D

Still great guide.. it will help new sins a lot:D

    Incorrecto.

Claw Mastery has NO EFFECT on Lucky 7 damage, and Lucky 7 SHOULD BE the only skill you're attacking with.

Therefore, Mastery should be done (almost) last, and only for the star bonus. Usually people redex, so Mastery IS needed, but if you don't redex then theoretically, you don't need Mastery.

    However the extra stars=GOOD.

Accuracy also is not needed for a dexless sin; you can hit everything your level, because LUK gives .5 accuracy for each point. Mastery also takes no MP, and booster is a lot more beneficial - at least 6 booster is recommended before haste or mastery IMO.

BTW sins are usually money SINKS, where you spend all your money ON them and don't MAKE money off them, so I don't see how you can actually -make- money off a sin with this build.

I still like the guide though, it's almost exactly how I skilled my sin. :]

Ok, you will almost NEVER make much extra money off of a sin. I'm sorry, it just won't happen. If you DO happen to grab a bit of extra cash, and already have good equips, then you need to spend that cash on INT equips for HP washing.
As Fry already stated, Mastery has NO effect on L7. However, it is more important than drain or endure, so it should be maxed, just not right away.

    *completely off note*
I just read through some of the HS guides on the main homepage. Honestly they were terrible. Like, they really need to be taken down as to not negatively influence other sins. The most recent one was suprisingly the worst, I found several errors (not opinions, technical errors). It's good that the HS community is putting more guides up on the Thief section (Like this one :)), but I think someone should make a decent and updated guide for the HS guide section.
