Do remember that Brawlers have the shortest Range in the Game, Even more so than Bandits and 1h Warriors... Not to mention their equipment is quite rare at the moment... Comparable to Assassin's back in the Day. >.>

=/ They get Shockwave, Dragon Rising thingy, and CSB and BSB both have a decent range, as well as 100% KB. >_>
So no, they don't have the worst range in the game, it's only in 1st job.

I don't know exactly what you're saying, but I'll guess you mean FF gets replaced. And yes, it does, with Double Uppercut, but according to some higher-uppers, they say that FF is needed as a filler attack, since Brawler attacks have delay on them.
I found with my level 4x brawler that she could move across a flat map w/out taking ANY damage, if I used CSB -> SK x2 -> BSB -> SK x2, repeat many many times.
The invincibility frames keep me alive in CPQ.

I gave up on my Brawler though, Sometimes I kinda want to but then again my Gunslinger is shooting like Hellfire already. :D The FF has the "faster" attack or something even faster because you can perform a second one after a knockback which makes the monster still immune from the next KB once you deal the second Punch.

Someone else already said it. In 4th job Marksmen (xbow 4th job) and Paladin (page 4th job) hit highest. I havent seen a pally use heavens hammer yet (no pallys on demethos last i checked -_-) and I've only seen snipe in videos but it does godly damage

With the new damage cap, marksmen and paladins got a massive boost against their more popular counterparts. Once Marksmen's charge time and paladin's range are fixed like KMS, I have a feeling they will start to dominate.

Maradurs definately are NOT a top pick for solo bossing, and their 2nd job lvls are slow. I wouldn't think brawler would fit your description too well. Hero, NL, BM, Corsair would all be decent choices for the type of DPS you are looking for.

For a second i thought you said Black Mage. Then i figured that you said Bow Master.
