    Default Deteriorating health

Since last year, around this time, my health has been declining or something.

I can't eat as much in one sitting anymore.
When I eat a lot, I feel like I want to throw up, which has usually never happened before last year.
If I drink more than two glasses (more than 5 or 6 fl. ounces) of water, I feel really sick and have to lay down.
I can no longer sprint for more than 5 seconds.
I have the sneaking suspicion that it's just a lot of gas.
I've had trouble with bowel movements; details too embarrassing and probably inappropriate to post here.

I think this might have something to do with the fact that I can't burp, but I don't know. I've never been able to burp before, so I don't know why it might be affecting me now.

I want to go back to being able to down a whole Gatorade after a good day's workout, but I don't know what might be wrong with me.
I think I might have a tapeworm or something(?) since I've never been able to gain much weight after these symptoms started showing.
I figured it was just something temporary that would go away with some more cross country training, but I don't think so anymore, now that it's been a whole year.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, whenever I do feel sick like this, I build up a whole lot of phlegm in my throat.

Anyone know what could be wrong with me?

    do you have abdominal pain?
    diarrhea?
    blood in your stool?
    weight loss?

I know those are kind of embarrassing questions, but they're important. It's possible you have a bowel disorder. I've had Crohn's Disease since I was 11 (I'm 20 now) and it's not a fun thing to deal with. It makes having an active social life a bit difficult if you don't take care of yourself properly. You really should see a specialist. Getting proper medical attention sooner is a lot better than waiting for it to get worse.

Before I was diagnosed I was in really bad shape. I had crippling abdominal pain. I always just passed it off as bad gas. I was about 4'9" and I only weighed 60lbs. My ribs were actually hurting me. After I went to a specialist and received antibiotics, I could finally live life normally (somewhat) again.

I'm not saying this is what is wrong with you, it's more likely you have some bacteria in your bowels.

If you don't see a specialist I will be forced to tell you some of my own horror stories.

My cousin currently has Crohns's disease, so I know I don't have it.

I have no blood in my stool, no abdominal pains, and no diarrhea.
My weight's always been pretty low, but it was always easy to gain some pounds before last year.

The thing with my stool, is that it just sorta sits there after a good portion comes out. It makes me feel like my excratory tract has just stopped trying or something.

My stool is neither hard nor dry, so it's not constipation.
It's just my bowels stop contracting or something.

Either way if you have problems dropping a deuce, you should indeed see your doctor.

Honestly I don't see why you haven't sooner, I know personally those are things you get used to somehow, but life is funner when you don't and you learn how to fix it.

hmm, no symptoms I am familiar with then.

I still strongly encourage you to see a Gastroenterologist. There are plenty of bowel disorder's out there and since you have a relative with Crohn's your chances, unfortunately, go up.
