Data1.cab installation error
Yeah, it's me again.
=/
Okay, well I uninstalled Maplestory because it wouldn't run, giving me a "One or more components are missing" or something.
So I downloaded the file (could only find v69, unfortunately, but I can patch it), and was installing it, when a box pops up, giving me:
Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM (This doesn't run off a CD >_>), or a problem with this package (God forbid).
So there's one of two problems, or both:
1. Nexon AND FilePlanet uploaded a corrupted file, which is highly unlikely, even for Nexon.
2. There's something wrong with my computer.
I doubt it got corrupted during the download because I used that stupid Pando Media Booster thing from Nexon, which works, but is extremely slow.
The second option is extremely likely, and I've been digging around for fixes for the last two days. >_>
Things I've tried:
1. Cleaning my registry
2. Using Windows Install Cleanup to remove previous installation attempts
3. Updating Windows Installer
4. Clearing my 'Temp' folder
5. Setting Winzip as the default program to open .cab files
6. Deleting my old Maplestory folder
Anything else I should be doing?

Sigh...
It looks like the file is corrupted.
Stupid Nexon.
I found an older version of MSSetup, (.68, I think) and it installed quite well, so I'm going to see if I can patch it up to .70 again.
Found the .70 client on MMOSite, should (hopefully) work.
The MSSetup I found was v.5x, so no-go there.

Slime
I thought Version .70 was Available under the "Download" Section of Maple;Global's Website. It should install, cause i had the same error before i downloaded the direct version. (Version .70)

No, that's v69, they haven't uploaded v70 yet >_>
Stupid Nexon, for the second time.
The v70 is up on MMOSite though.

Sorry mods!
I'm doubleposting like a madman.
=[
But I found out that this problem's extremely big, and not much can fix it except Nexon themselves.

Some of the Error 1335's date back to '07...
Ugh.
I'll see if I can get the latest version on my MP3 player from my friend.
Someone said a sure solution to this is to get the folder (Nexon\Maplestory) from a friend and copy/paste it to your HDD.
