    Icon2 Atlantica Online

    Yeah it isn't new and has been around for almost a year now, but it's pretty epic.

    I started playing casually on-and-off last month and got hooked.

    Spoiler!

    It's a turn-based MMO, it's basically FFX as a MMORPG.

    A few notes about the game:

    - There's little to no character customization in the game. Once you create a character that's how they'll look for the rest of their AO career.
    - You can buy outfits that cover your gear, but you can't buy them from the item mall directly. They're obtainable from buying ****** like boxes where you have a 1/19 chance of obtaining them.
    - You can control up to 9 mercenaries starting from level 50.
    - Every weekend exp is boosted to 150%, so that's when most people play the game.
    - The client is over 2GBs. xD Need a total of nearly 8-10GBs on your HD.

    So yeah can't think of much except it's a great game and needed more people joining. Questions? Fire away.

    Well, it certainly looks interesting, but I think I'll pass.

    Is it like, you create a character, then assemble into a tiny group of people, and then battle alongside each other?

    Yeah, at the start of the game you can hire up to 4 mercenaries. Every 10th level up until level 50 you can hire an additional merc, for a total of 8 mercenaries, not including your main character.

    Mercenaries come in ranks. You can have as many D rank mercenaries in your party as you like. C rank and above however you can only have one of each C ranked class in your formation.

    List of mercs [Level requirement]:

    D Rank [40 and under]: Viking, Shaman, Spearman, Swordsman, Monk, Gunner and Archer.

    C Rank [40 - 100]: Beast Trainer, Witch, Exorcist, Princess, Prophet, Oracle, Inventor, Cannoneer, Lady Knight and Janissary.

    B Rank [100+]: Spartan, Pirate and Elementalist.

    To be released: Punisher, Hwarang and Enchantress.

    It's awesome since C ranked mercenaries and meant to be famous people in history.

    Eg. Spartan -> Leonidas
    Elementalist -> Pocahontas
    Lady Knight -> Joan Of Arc and so on.

    Also referring to classes, C/B ranked mercenaries are usually more improved D ranked mercenary replacements.

    Viking -> Beast Trainer
    Shaman -> Oracle
    Spearman -> Spartan
    Swordsman -> Lady Knight
    Monk -> Currently has no replacement.
    Gunner -> Inventor and/or Janissary
    Archer -> Prophet

    The classes that aren't mentioned are usually unique classes that are good for essentially PvE or PvP.

    I'll follow you to hell and back, where do I sign up for whatever one you are playing, and what's your server and IGN? I'll start downloading it now.

    If you're not playing LT, I'll remove that. :/

    Oh wait, it might be a while before I start though, right now I'm gonna be doing stuff that I don't want a serious MMO for a while. :P

    No worries, you don't have to play this game hardcore. I'm in a casual guild that you're welcome to join. :D

    IGN: Starstruck [don't ask xD]
    Server: Sikyon
    Guild: Moogles /o/

    Oh yeah guys, if yous do decide to join, join Sikyon server! It's where most of the MMOG crowd and I are.

    I'm fairly certain anyone who's looking into playing this game is familiar with that crowd. xD

    Quite familiar, I've been an MMOG guy since it was only MT. In fact, since Trickster came out (and MyTrickster was made) XD

    Sweet. :D

    Atlantica Online never gets tried out after people read 'turn based'. Even I shunned trying the game when I read that.

    I gave it a go since I was bored and ended up really liking it. This is the MMO I'll be sticking to until Diablo 3 comes out. :3
