2820 Mp. Lvl 47 Cleric? Help!

Hey guys. I've been playing Maple Story for a while now, but i have a question that i've pondered over for a SUPER long time.

I have a level 47 cleric, currently 2820 MP. When i first became a mage (1st job), instead of quickly putting points into IMPROVING MAX MP INCREASE, i put points into ENERGY BOLT -> MAGIC CLAW first for about 4 or five levels before i began putting points into Improving Max Mp Increase..

Give me your input on this guys. How much mp am i missing out on?
Is it a big enough mistake that i should make another mage to perfect it?

You're missing out on quite alot, easily 300+.
I'd personally suggest restarting, but if you can live without some mp you should continue your cleric.

There's a point where it won't matter how much mp you have any more. And that point is the point where you can use 3 level 20 gen's with one full mp bar (12k mp). After you have 12k mp, your mp doesn't really matter anymore. This number is only for bishops though, arch mages require a lot higher max mp to not care about how much mp they have.

Hold on , so 12k is the max MP a bishop can have ? I thought it was a lot higher ?

30k MP is the max. Clerics/Priests/Bishops generally have a bit more MP than the other mages.

So why does the guy above me say that after you get 12k mp it doesn't matter ?

It's because 12K MP is, honestly, a LOT of MP, you can spam all your non-ult skills all over the place and not worry about running low on MP. Also, MP = HP with MG and more MP means that mages will live longer or survive really hard hits.

i thought it was 30kmax HP, and the max MP was 15k

It's 30k both HP and MP now.
