Suppose I made a KoC with my level XX Assassin. Once the new character is made, is it possible to delete the KoC character and make another one using that same Assassin?

I believe I read somewhere (in the game) that if you delete the KoC, the linked character's blessing will go to level 0, until you make a new KoC tied to that character.
