Thread: One small issue with Blaze Wizard...

Default One small issue with Blaze Wizard...

I realize this may sound silly to those of you who leveled jobs besides mages, but, having come from a fire/poison specialist, I'm having some pretty serious issues with the MP recovery rate of my Blaze Wizard. I was wondering if nobody else had issue with the missing "Improving MP Recovery" trait on Blaze Wizards? As is, my Fire and Poison wizard can barely afford the MP recovery items to keep its MP up while hunting, and I can't imagine it being any easier on a job that recovers 3 instead of the 50ish (I haven't checked in a bit, but that's the last I remember it being) that the fire wizard gets... And from what I can tell, Blaze Wizard doesn't get the MP Eater skill, either, though if I'm wrong on that please tell me.

It doesn't have any mp recovery skills. I noticed when I was making a build for mine, pretty retarded I know.

You'll have to dump the mesos into your f/p to deal with the 3mp mana regen.

Lovely. I already have issues breaking even with mesos, now I get to deal with a job that drinks MP like water, but has no way to keep it up...

Also, I checked. I'm getting 95/tick on my F/P, currently.

I've had no problem affording the mp pots I use and I'm currently level 64.
I hunt at MP3 with my blaze wizard, and just the mesos I collect pays for my Sorceror elixirs and Grilled Cheeses. The equips I get and then NPC are extra above my pot costs. Most of my equips are agent equips (including pink tube)

I appologize, I've started playing maplestory after a very long break, so acronyms fail me... I don't know what MP3 is. Though, it doesn't matter, as my fire/poison wizard is only 58.

As a side note, I'll get one equip every 40% of a level, and it's usually an archer MP peice, or something as silly as that, so I rely, very heavily, on etc drops to keep my MP pots in shape.

MP3 = Mysterious Path 3 in Singapore. You can go at level 58 lol

I don't know what kind of numbers you're pulling at 58 to manage this map, but it takes me three fire arrows and a magic claw to take down the monster weak to fire (junior something, I don't feel like checking and KSing this fire/poison mage), and it'll whip me for 350something in the meantime. This map would be a mesosinc, not a place to earn any decent amount of mesos, especially since I'll see one equip drop every... maybe thousand kills?

You'll have to understand that you're posting in the Blaze Wizard section, so we're posting from a Blaze Wizard viewpoint. They're significantly different than normal Fire/Poison mages during the 2nd job. Blaze Wizards have an Area of Effect (AOE) skill called Fire pillar, it hits 6 enemies and is 80 attack when maxed. Personally, I went to Mysterious Path 3 in Singapore at level 50. I've heard of others going even earlier at level 45. Selkies are fire weak, and slimies are neutral. I usually get about 4 drops an hour, with the occasionally steelies.

There's also a Truck/Hummer on the bottom floor which provides a safespot for mages/dawn warriors/other classes with enough range in their AoE attack.

I got to see some of that AoE stuff in action. Was crazy. Four levels below me and mesos were dropping like candy... yet, they weren't picking any of them up. I guess some people are actually lucky with drops, but I managed to pick up a new body armor in the process, so it's all good, I suppose. Anyway, the topic's derailed a bit, and I got my answer, I'm not the only person that's a bit dissapointed in Blaze Wizard's MP recovery.

i don't have any problems money wise with my Blaze Wizard, currently level 27, and I have Magic Claw maxed out, and I am killing Ligators in 2 hits, sometimes one and make a porfit of 1000 mesos every 3 mins., which works out to about 20000 mesos every hour. i suggest killing them, or Sakura Cellion.
