Dragon Knight Question
I'm not sure if this is still the trend anymore, but why are most DKs (DrKs nowadays?) Spear users?
There's a clear 3:2 swing-stab ratio, so why is this? I don't remember exactly but it had something to do with the skills I think. Anyone care to clarify for me?

Spear crusher is much better than pole arm fury (The best skills for those weps damage wise) Crusher hits 3 times to a maximum of 3 monsters (i think)
Fury hits once to 7 or 10 monsters (not sure which). Crusher DMG is MUUCH better so hence, spear>PA

A pure PA drk is just a (mess-around) job now. It used to be awesome when himes was the best training spot, but now with skele/ToT out, pure PA are nearly useless.
Spear is better for bossing and training because the Berserk formula favors Crusher over Fury. Because of that, and the fact that Crusher was stronger than Fury to begin with, on mobs of 1-3, make Spears better than Polearms because Crusher is force-stab and Fury is force-slash.
There are still a few Polearm DrKs out there, but they mostly only exist because they wanted to be unique and the like. Notable ones that make it work moderately well are level 200 xBbGal and Bellocan's MasPan.
But... in simplest terms, Pure PA DrKs are just for fun now, like ithrow4luk said.

What do you think of the idea of a Pure PA Sacrifice and Dragon Roar based DK?
I rather like those skills and I think they'd be pretty fun.

The problem with that is, Dragon Roar is a forced stab attack. It doesn't work well with polearms for obvious reasons. But from what I know, Pure PAs using Sacrifice does more DPS than with Fury, although I could be wrong on that.
Don't ask me why it is either, I'm guessing it's for the same reason Shout is force-stab and Somersault Kick is a force-slash.
